How Long Do Single Edge Blades Last?

The Single Edge revives a classic shaving style with a modern twist. That being said, your razor is only half of what gets you an incredibly close shave. The other half is a blade you can trust.

You can have a beautiful tool, but if the blade doesn't perform to your satisfaction, it's useless. Luckily, we got you covered.

Our Single Edge uses standard injector blades that are not proprietary to our razor. They may be new to you, but they have been in production for decades and can easily be found around the world.

Our blades are made in the United States by a manufacturer that has had them in production for over 100 years. Rest assured - they're going nowhere.

What's so great about them?

Glad you asked. Injector blades are twice as thick as blades used in both multi-blade cartridge razors and double edge safety razors. Why does this matter? It means they flex less, cut cleaner, and last longer. No flex means no blade chatter, which is a common issue with our competitor's razors, and the reason behind irritation, nicks, and cuts.

While we have some customers who can get up to 20 shaves from each blade, our average customer usually gets between 8-10 shaves before needing a new one.

You'll know it's time to change your blade when you're shaves aren't as smooth. Your blade may begin to tug skin or leave patches of hair behind. This is a sign that your blade is beginning to dull in places.

At this point, all you have to do is grab your trusty blade pack and quickly swap out a new blade. Since our blade pack ships with 8 blades inside the cartridge, one pack typically lasts up to three months of shaving!

How does the injector pack work?

When you need to come back for a refill, your 3-month supply will only cost $6. That's $24 a year for blades used with your Single Edge. Take a look at your most recent receipt for blade cartridges and do the math for a full year. How does it compare?

Injector blade changes are also lightning fast, simple to perform, and touch-free. Every Single Edge ships with an injector blade pack included in the box, so you're ready to go once your order arrives. The cartridge simply injects a new blade into the razor handle while simultaneously ejecting the old one - in less than five seconds, if that.

When you've ejected a used blade, just flip the pack around to the back, and you'll find a nifty opening to insert and store your used blades. No sharp objects lying in your trash can or recycling bin. Once you finish using all the blades in your pack, just recycle the entire thing: blades and all.

Safe. Cheaper. Better for the environment.

Customer Reviews

"Great blades, and an even greater price!!!" - Robert

"I just completed my #15 face and scalp shave. All 15 shaves were smooth and comfortable. 15 was the "up to" number of shaves that my previous overpriced Mach 3 blades stated they could guarantee." - Nick

"These blades are easy to put in the razor. They give some of the smoothest shaves that I have ever had. I highly recommend them!" - Willie V.
